Senior Project Manager - Mission Critical Construction

Location: Columbus, OH (with regional travel as needed)

Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 (based on experience)

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will lead complex mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, with a focus on financial oversight, team leadership, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial acumen, experience in data center or heavy industrial projects, and the ability to manage large teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of mechanical construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Lead project teams including APMs, field supervisors, QA/QC personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects including forecasting, revenue growth analysis, and change order negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to pursue new business opportunities and support strategic growth.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and union labor standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and succession planning.

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management.
  • Proven track record managing projects valued at $40M+ annually.
  • Strong financial background with experience in cost analysis, projections, and change orders.
  • Experience in mission-critical environments (data centers preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
