Strategic Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Financial Management
- Take full ownership of complex commercial electrical projects from conception through closeout
- Lead comprehensive project planning, execution, and delivery for projects valued at $3M+
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation with precision
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial tracking throughout project lifecycle
- Implement risk management strategies and contingency planning
Estimating Excellence & Business Development
- Prepare detailed, competitive project estimates using advanced estimating software and methodologies
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings with exceptional accuracy
- Collaborate on proposal development and client presentations
- Support business development initiatives through technical expertise and industry relationships
- Conduct comprehensive project feasibility assessments
Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Serve as primary liaison with general contractors, architects, engineers, and client representatives
- Lead pre-construction meetings, progress reviews, and project coordination sessions
- Maintain strategic relationships across the industry while representing our clients brand
- Coordinate with municipal authorities and inspection agencies
- Manage subcontractor relationships and procurement processes
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds National Electrical Code and local regulations
- Oversee project documentation, compliance testing, and closeout procedures
- Implement continuous improvement processes and best practice methodologies
- Maintain comprehensive project records and reporting systems
- Lead safety initiatives and OSHA compliance efforts
Required Qualifications
Experience & Expertise
- Minimum 7+ years of project management experience in commercial electrical contracting (non-negotiable)
- Proven estimating experience with demonstrated accuracy and competitiveness (essential)
- Documented success managing projects valued at $3M+
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Experience with multimillion-dollar commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical projects
Technical Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard estimating software
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical specifications, blueprints, and field operations
- Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control technologies
- Experience with project management platforms and construction scheduling tools
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and engineering specifications
Professional Requirements
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background and compliance testing
- Master Electrician license (strongly preferred)
- PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
