Qualifications

High School diploma/GED Key Responsibilities

Retrieves evidence and property from secure lockers and enters information into database. Verifies accuracy and completeness of all data/information received and researches and provides verification on information requests from department field personnel. Preserves chain of custody, inventories, and audits evidence held by the Police Department. Follows destruction of evidence laws and protocol. Maintains Impound Lot security and integrity of evidence. Provides assistance to the Police Department via telephone, and in person i.e., completing forms/applications, explaining policy and procedure, researching information and directing to appropriate entities for assistance. Performs extensive record and report maintenance tasks. Performs other related duties as required.
