School of Media and Communication
at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for part-time instructors with experience teaching communication studies (CMST 101 & CMST 110). We are seeking dynamic and engaged educators who are committed to student learning and success.
Required Documentation:
Cover letter outlining teaching experience and experience
Curriculum vita
Names and contact information of at least three professional references
Copy of transcript from institution awarding highest degree
Evidence of teaching effectiveness, such as student evaluations or syllabi if available
Finalists will be required to submit official academic transcripts, as well as complete a background check.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and kept on file for future openings.

Primary Responsibilities
Teach 1-2 sections of public speaking (CMST 101) and/or introduction to communication studies (CMST 110) in a face to face format based on need.
Qualifications
MA in Communication Studies by start of fall semester (or Master's Degree with at least 18 hours in Communication). Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the University level appropriate to assignment. Commitment to teaching a diverse student population.
Desired Qualifications:
PhD in communication or related field.
Any candidate offered this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
