Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Controller, the Intern - Accounting is responsible for assisting the department with accounting projects such as the sales tax audit, AP Improvement Project and fixed asset audits.

Essential Functions:

Assist in the month-end closing process, analysis and preparing journal entries

Maintain monthly account analysis and reconciliations

Prepare bank reconciliations

Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting book

Other Functions:

Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis

Assist in AR and AP processing

Assist in new item set-up and cost maintenance

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Attention to detail.

Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook

Above average verbal and written communication skills.

2 years of college level classes and actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.

Computer proficient including Windows based software

Hours of availability from 8:00 until 4:30
