Job Summary (Primary function) The Sr Dir Portfolio BI and Reporting is responsible for delivery of consistent, accurate, and actionable insights available across multiple BUs and therapeutic areas.

By identifying and adopting new platforms and technologies, this role ensures faster dashboard delivery for launches and quarterly reviews through ready-to-use templates and data layers.

Through their efficient and forward-looking leadership, the Dir / Sr Dir Portfolio BI and Reporting reduces analytic time spent on formatting and fixing reports-enabling their team to focus on storytelling and strategic insights. Their work also significantly impacts field effectiveness and brand planning through real-time, self-service insights. Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities) * The Dir/Sr Dir, BIS, Portfolio BI and Reporting is responsible for designing and executing a scalable operating model for business intelligence, leveraging a combination of onshore and offshore teams within a centralized shared services framework. This includes driving cost efficiencies, increasing delivery capacity, and ensuring consistency across the US business unit through a modular data foundation, standardized definitions, and reusable data pipelines. * The leadership role oversees the end-to-end development, delivery, and monitoring of dashboards and reporting solutions using a mix of frontend and BI technologies (e.g., Power BI, HTML, React, Shiny, Mosaic). This position ensures quality and consistency of output, defines and tracks KPIs, manages prioritization in alignment with stakeholders, and drives user experience and adoption to maximize business value. * A key responsibility is enabling governed self-service analytics by providing analyst workspaces, curated data marts, reusable templates, and lightweight guardrails to ensure data consistency and quality. * The BI Lead also plays a strategic role in positioning BI and visualization technologies within the enterprise. This includes developing and maintaining a long-term roadmap for BI capabilities, ensuring flexibility across platforms, and preparing for emerging trends such as AI-driven decision intelligence. The role focuses on advancing the organization toward AI-assisted recommendations, outcome measurements, and ROI-based insights to drive improved business performance. Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competence) * Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or related field required, master's preferred * Minimum 7 years of BI, analytics, or data management experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience is strongly preferred * Proficiency with BI platforms (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and data modeling; experience with semantic layer design, data warehouses, ETL, and cloud ecosystems is required * Strong knowledge of data governance, MDM, and data quality frameworks in pharma is an advantage * Experience implementing and embedding AI-based solutions in BI and eventually decision intelligence (DI) frameworks preferred * Proven ability to lead within a shared services model, balancing standardized solutions with diverse business needs * Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, vendor collaboration, and translating business requirements into BI solutions * Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills required
