The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families. The role involves developing patient care plans, providing direct patient care, evaluating progress, and coordinating care delivery throughout the patient's episode. The RN will work with adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with various medical conditions, focusing on patient and family education for self-care beyond hospitalization. Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care using knowledge and skills specific to the medical/surgical environment. Conduct assessments of patient and family needs through active listening and data analysis. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to develop and adjust individualized care plans. Advocate for and protect patients' health, safety, and rights while fostering teamwork. Teach patients and families necessary skills for home care and post-discharge recovery. Document patient education and responses to teaching interventions. Evaluate and improve nursing practice through quality improvement activities. Establish meaningful connections with patients and families, creating a Healing Environment. Administer medications and interventions safely, adhering to infection prevention strategies. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
