Travel Description=Min 1 year PCU/Tele exp ACLS,BLS, NIHSS required PCU is a 48-bed cardiac telemetry unit. We primarily receive patients from the ED, cath lab and other inpatient units. Nurse to patient ratio is 4:1and can go to 5:1 depending on unit needs. Utilization of PCAs (CNAs) and LPNs in a team nursing approach. Fast paced unit with quick patient turnover. In need of nurses who are comfortable taking care of patients on drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, lasix and insulin. Must have post cardiac cath procedure experience. We expect timely discharge of our patients, hourly rounding and bedside shift report completed on all patients. Floating is required if needed. Every other weekend coverage.
