Position Summary
We are seeking a part-time Non- Student Short term casual at the School of Nursing that will work on research projects related to social determinants of cardiovascular health. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Non-Student Short term casual will assist in the implementation of data collection and recruitment for various research studies.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience conducting health research and working in a team-oriented environment with frequent interaction with research participants, graduate students, and research staff.
Responsibilities
Recruit individuals for participation in research studies;
Conduct all research activities in accordance with study protocols and other appropriate institutional regulations, procedures, and policies, including procedures to safeguard confidentiality of study participants.
Administer structured interviews;
Train participants on study procedures;
Track the collection, submission, and cleaning of study data.
Assist with REDCap database design, security, data storage and management;
Engage with community members to disseminate study findings;
Prepare manuscripts and abstracts for dissemination of research findings;
Complete literature reviews as needed; and
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Organized and able to multitask in a diverse research environment.
Flexibility in workload and work hours to meet deadlines and recruitment goals.
Capable of working effectively in research groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in research or healthcare.
Experience conducting health equity research.
