Job Description:
Title : Senior Console Operator
Location : Alpharetta GA
Duration : 0-12 + Months
Shift : 06:30am to 3:15pm (All Days)
Pay Rate : $23.00/Hour on w2.
Monitor and respond to events on consoles related to mainframe, production control, network, and servers. Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe, network, and production control incidents. Respond to incoming calls from I.S. Help Desk and support teams to assist with incident resolution. Implement standard procedures and manage incidents in the production environment. Maintain knowledge of critical applications and error recovery procedures. Support daily operational procedures to maintain 24x7 environment service levels. Interpret computer-generated messages, determine appropriate actions, and follow standard procedures. Implement production system schedule changes while adhering to change control guidelines. Deliver internal and external customer support. Interact with vendors and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues. Monitor the production environment for alerts and network/server activity. Provide incident support, including communication, trending, and tracking. Document incidents with appropriate detail in the trouble ticketing system. Support troubleshooting and analysis of production and network incidents. Administer and support basic change control. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with switches and routers. Take corrective action to stabilize or failover network/application connectivity to restore service. Identify network alerts, determine appropriate responses, and execute standard operating procedures. Rotate shifts every 4 months (0630-1515 and 1430-2315). No travel in personal vehicle is required or allowed. Work under general supervision using established procedures and written instructions. Maintain regular communication with internal and external teams requiring explanation and interpretation. Customer service-oriented with routine and regular interaction across departments. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred. Well-organized, task-oriented, and strong written/verbal communication skills. Experience in Zone of Separation Environment (Z/OS). Beginner-level knowledge of:

Intermediate proficiency in:
TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) TSO (Time Sharing Option) MVS/JCL (Multiple Virtual Storage / Job Control Language) MVS/VTAM (Virtual Telecommunications Access Method) WebSphere Hardware and software troubleshooting
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of:
WAN / LAN network principles and related hardware Routing fundamentals Transmission principles Switches and routers Windows, LINUX, and MQ
