Position Summary
The Event Registration Associate serves as the registration lead, in advance of conferences as well as on-site. This role provides internal and external customer service and supports internal and external communication regarding the firm's conferences, including survey management, attendee communication and internal reporting. This position reports to the Event Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Events
• Travel to and serve as the onsite registration lead at the national conferences, including preparing name badges, coordinating workshop handouts, managing attendee communications, handing shipping and print materials, and providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure proper distribution of attendee lists to internal employees, sponsors and attendees.
• Manage the attendee email process by creating, testing, and sending automated communications such as confirmations, updates, and post-event surveys.
• Oversee hotel and travel coordination by managing room blocks, maintaining reservation lists, cross-checking rooming lists with reservation records, sending reminders, and monitoring no-show reports.
• Assist with Survey Management by creating event surveys.
• Generate event reports including weekly registration trends, monthly credits, collections vs. outstanding revenue, and post-event data, while assisting coordinators with exhibitor support as needed.
• Manage registration websites by building live and on-demand events, creating categories and forms, ensuring proper pricing, editing event pages, publishing content through CMS, updating hotel information, developing FAQs, and creating/managing discounts and comps.
• Support the event planner and website coordinator with event website search engine optimization by drafting and strategizing engagement concepts. Customer Service
Cross-train on customer operations specialists duties. Answer phone calls and process requests as needed during peak times. Manage email account as needed. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Ability to effectively initiate, plan and manage projects with effective follow-through and prioritization skills.
• Ability to provide a positive service experience for all event attendees, firm partners and internal employees to enhance the Novogradac brand.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma plus 1-2 years of experience in a prior customer service or coordinator role. Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Marketing or related field and experience with nationwide events, either as an attendee or employee. Strong overall computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is a plus.
Experience with any of the following is helpful but not mandatory: Affordable Housing, Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Opportunity Zones (OZ), Renewable Energy Tax Credits (RETC), Historical Tax Credits (HTC), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Real Estate, Developers, Partnerships, Housing Authority (HA), Public Housing Authority, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI), Community Development Entity Certification Applications (CDE), Property Compliance, Nonprofit, Single Audit, Uniform Guidance, A-133, Forecasting, Cost Segregation, Year 15 Exit, Tax-exempt bond and HOME programs.
