Solomon Page is hiring: Package Designer in El Segundo

We are looking for a Package Designer for a top beauty company in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Organized
• Create 2D + 3D renderings for product packaging
• Mechanical work and laying out artwork
• Ensure packaging designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and guidelines
• Pack up files to send to suppliers
• Understand printing deco treatments, pantones, foil, etc.
• Experience using TAG (software to upload/approve artwork)
• Conceptual design for secondary packaging
• Experience creating grandioso moodboards that speak to the concept
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, manufacturing) to understand packaging requirements and project goals
• Conduct design research and stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovative packaging designs
• Avoid roadblocks and develop proactive solutions
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure successful execution of packaging designs
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure designs meet quality standards and are error-free
• Adhere to project timelines and deliver designs within deadlines
• Adapt to changing project requirements and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Follow brand guidelines and illustrate a brand pattern for use across all mediums

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Packaging Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dimension) and other relevant design software
• Strong understanding of packaging design principles, materials, and production processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong aesthetic sense
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Forward-thinking with proactive attitude
