Utility Engineering Firm Seeks Entry-Level Designer
Join a rapidly growing utility engineering firm launching a new office in Sharonville, OH (Cincinnati suburb) this fall. This entry-level Designer role is ideal for someone with a technical degree and a passion for the utility industry. You'll support power distribution projects by updating and creating CAD-based drawings that ensure safe, cost-effective, and reliable service for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
What You'll Do:
- Use CAD software to prepare detailed drawings and project packages
- Support design for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
- Interpret blueprints, specs, and field data
- Collaborate with engineers and field teams
- Learn industry codes and standards while building a career from the ground up
What We're Looking For:
- BSME, BSMET, BSEE, BSEET or related engineering degree (Associate's accepted with 2+ years of CAD experience)
- Basic AutoCAD skills
- Strong communication and dependability
- A genuine interest in a long-term utility career
Job Details:
- Pay: $24$26/hr (40 hrs/week, minimal OT)
- Schedule: MonFri, 8am5pm (Hybrid after office opens)
- Location: Work-from-home to start, then onsite in Sharonville
- Term: 6-month contract-to-hire
- Extras: Laptop & equipment provided, casual attire, low travel
