Unit: 20 beds, mixed medical/surgical & step-down

Ratios: 1:4–6

Patients: Post-PCI, pacemaker, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, sepsis, surgical recovery

Equipment: A-lines, chest tubes, vents, telemetry, multiple IVs

Meds: Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone

Requirements:

MT RN license (or compact)

BLS, ACLS, PALS (ENPC/TNCC preferred)

2+ years PCU/step-down experience
