$2,022.03 to $2,224.23 biweekly. Actual salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Performs entry-level professional environmental work assisting in a variety of tasks on environmentally-related projects and programs.This position is within the Environmental Resources Management section of Natural Resources. Primary duties include the review of building permits and other development orders as they relate to environmental ordinances.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, a Physical, or a Natural Science related to the area of assignment, including:Ecology and Wetland Ecology, Biology,Environmental Science, Zoology,Marine Science, Resource Management,Marine Biology, Botany,Geology, Natural Resources,Hydrology and Hydrogeology,Conservation Biology,Chemistry, Environmental Planning Coastal Zone Management Environmental, and/or Engineering. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must complete all of the Brevard County Mandatory Training for the Development of New Employees classes within nine (9) months of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
