Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Friday 10a-10p, Saturday/Sunday 7a-7p

Monday 10a-10p, Saturday/Sunday 7a-7p

Job Description: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist performs imaging procedures at a technical level, ensuring high standards of patient care within the MRI environment. The technologist will be responsible for supporting patients through the imaging process and operating MRI equipment effectively.

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of the Magnetic Resonance imaging process and safety protocols.

Protect patients and personnel according to safety standards.

Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, explaining exams clearly.

Perform MRI procedures including neuro, body, and extremity imaging as per Radiologist protocols.

Carry out venous access for IV contrast administration when required.

Enter necessary data into the Radiology Imaging System, IDX Imaging Suite, and Picture Archive Communication System.

Process images and perform quality control tests on equipment, reporting any issues.

Act as a liaison for radiological support to physicians as needed.

Share responsibilities for ordering supplies and notify appropriate personnel of supply levels.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)

Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body)

Certification as a MRI Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Certification as a Radiology Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
