The
Income Maintenance Caseworker III (IMC III) - Family and Children Medicaid Program Specialist
is a vital member of the Medicaid team. This position is responsible for completing second-party case reviews, managing reports, identifying error trends, assisting with staff training, and supporting overall program accuracy. The primary goal of this role is to ensure the agency consistently meets quality and timeliness standards within the Family and Children Medicaid units. In addition, the IMC III troubleshoots issues, refers appropriate cases to the help desk, and maintains the help desk log. Other responsibilities include compiling and entering data into NC FAST and providing support for vacant caseloads as needed.
Must be available to work after normal business hours and during emergency situations.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associated, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial, or a closely related curriculum; or Graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact , which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical program; or An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
One (1) year experience as Income Maintenance Caseworker II required. Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pound of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
