GeneralSummary:
The Provider Specialist is responsible for duties related to supporting the HIA medical team including, but not limited to, assisting with provider inquiries (i.e. phone, mail, etc.) as needed, provider coverage and on-call schedules, oversight of face-to-face patient visit scheduling completed by the medical team, coordinating with the coroner, and managing the processing of death certificates, etc.
This will be a 0.5 FTE position (benefit eligible) and based in our Fargo office.
Essential Functions: Monitor provider inquiries and ensure responses are provided or resolved timely Identify gaps in provider coverage and collaborate with team to address those gaps Provide oversight and coordination to the process of ensuring hospice patient face-to-face visits are completed timely Assist the Medical Director with the creation of onboarding schedules for new providers to the organization Maintains confidentiality and follows all applicable state and federal laws and regulations Follow company policies to ensure consistent and compliant job performance Performs all other duties as assigned Expectations of all Employees Support the mission, vision and values through unequaled quality patient care, professional competence, collaboration, communication, innovation, accountability, ownership and provide support to the entire agency regardless of their primary office location.

Qualifications
Education,CertificatesandExperience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in healthcare administration, or other related field, is preferred Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations Current driver's license and auto insurance
