Job Summary:

The Front Office Rooms Controller is responsible for managing room inventory, optimizing room allocation, and ensuring smooth coordination between the front office, housekeeping, and reservations teams. This role focuses on maximizing room revenue, maintaining accurate room status, and delivering exceptional guest experiences through efficient room control processes. Will help with answering incoming calls to the hotel and assist the guests over the phone with their inquiries. Assist with checking in and checking out guests as needed or requested by Front Office Leadership. Handle any and all guest concerns that are brought to your attention and ensure guests' satisfaction at the end of the interaction.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage room inventory, availability, and allocation in the Property Management System (PMS & MARSHA) to maximize occupancy and revenue. Coordinate closely with reservations, front desk, and housekeeping to ensure accurate and timely updates of room status (e.g., clean, dirty, out of order). Oversee room assignments for arrivals, departures, and in-house guests to optimize room utilization and guest satisfaction. Communicate room-related issues and updates promptly to relevant departments to prevent service disruptions. Assist in forecasting room availability and reporting daily room status and performance metrics to management. Handle room upgrades, special requests, and VIP room allocations according to hotel policies. Detail out Group Resume's to ensure all room related requests are completed as noted such as specific room blocking, room rates, etc... Support the front office team during peak times and ensure smooth guest check-in and check-out experiences. Maintain detailed records of room maintenance issues and coordinate with engineering for timely resolution. Qualifications:

Previous experience in hotel front office or rooms control operations preferred. Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems such as FSPMS and MARSHA Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving mindset and ability to coordinate across multiple departments. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. Working Conditions:
