Rental Technicians
to join our Downhill Ski Resort Operations! The Downhill Rental Tech I, II, & III is an important part of the team at Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort. The Rental Tech staff are an integral part of our customer service by ensuring friendly, welcoming experiences, ensuring equipment is checked out, accurate fitting of ski and snowboard equipment and answering questions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides excellent customer service to customers, employees and business partners. Properly fit guest with ski boots, snowboard boots, and helmets based on manufacture guidelines. Review rental form and make sure height, weight, age is correct on the rental form, so we can properly fit guests. Tech Ski and Snowboard properly for guest, using the proper manufacture setting. Ensure equipment is tuned and wax to ensure best guest experience. Operate the resort's Point of Sale System (RTP) to track inventory in and out of the rental shop. Assist customers with online product sales, arrival procedures and questions. Perform minor repairs and tuning of rental equipment and customer's skis as experience and training permits. Keep shop in an orderly manner, skis, snowboards, boots and helmets are properly labeled and are properly stored. Assist with light cleaning duties and snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways and paths.

Required at all levels
Able to work all shifts and being flexible with schedules, including weekends and holidays. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Be punctual, follow lunch, washroom and break procedures as directed. Able to work independently and as a team, prioritize and multitask. Listen to guests' complaints and concerns, demonstrate problem solving skills, resolve issues in a timely and professional manner seeking mangers assistance if unable to resolve. Skiing and snowboarding knowledge is preferred. Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written skills. Experience working with people of all ages. Able to lift up to 40lbs. Experience with basic service tools. Always wear uniform and appropriate attire for the workplace. Successful completion of training/tests.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent and six months to one-year related experience and/or training in the snow sports business; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
