Master Electrician – Lincoln, RI/MA area (location noted in posting). Reports To: Maintenance Manager.
Overview
Industry: Wire & Cable. Status: Union Hourly. Job Summary: Seeking an experienced RI licensed Electrician with 3-phase, 480V and industrial troubleshooting experience to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment on continuous manufacturing equipment, using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. The Electrician diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Electrician is responsible for connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Observes and follows all safety regulations with required PPE.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.
- Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state and federal levels.
- Perform rigging activities, safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions.
- Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (hand and power).
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge; competent with programming of VFDs.
- Safely operate a forklift and high lift as required.
- Troubleshoot PLCs; perform testing of electrical systems and continuity using testing devices (ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes).
- Work as part of a team of skilled trade workers; perform duties in hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced environments.
- Take direction as needed; self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- RI Journeyman license required; RI Master Electrician license required.
- Two (2) or more years of progressively responsible journey-level industrial electrical experience.
- Must pass pre-employment background, drug and work screen.
- Regular shift of 8 hours with availability for overtime, weekends, and call-outs.

- Ability to comply with safety regulations; physical capability to perform work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.
- Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits; able to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
