Job Title: Industrial Electrician (Licensed)
Tenure: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $30-$40/h
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Summary:

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, compliance with safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and code specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Install, replace, or repair wiring, switch boxes, conduits, receptacles, network/coaxial cable assemblies, lighting systems, and other electrical components.
  • Test equipment for continuity, voltage, resistance, and current using appropriate testing tools.
  • Install and service switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, regulators, and electrical control systems (hydraulic/pneumatic).
  • Perform basic programming, testing, and documentation of PLCs
  • Support Engineering by providing feedback and participating in product improvements and system upgrades.
  • Execute field installations, commissioning, servicing, and warranty repairs.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain inventory records and conduct cyclical counts of electrical components.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA and NEC regulations and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid North Carolina Electrical Contractor's License or Journeyman Electrician License issued by the NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
  • Basic PLC programming knowledge is an asset.
  • Previous experience in power , energy, oil & gas, or control panel assembly .
  • Proficient in the use of conduit bending, cabling, and related electrical hardware.
