Job Description

We are seeking a qualified RN for our newly established Intermediate Care unit, which will be part of the Float Pool. This role focuses on a patient population that includes Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU, with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3. The RN may be floated to other Stepdown and Med/Surg units as needed, but not to other critical care units. The procedures in this role include, but are not limited to:

  • A-line management
  • Bair Hugger System operation
  • FMS Systems handling
  • IV Insulin and IV Infusion/Endo management
  • Stable DKA care
  • IPAP and Non-Invasive Ventilation
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Peripheral Cath Withdrawals
Responsibilities

The RN will assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the guidance of a licensed physician. This role requires knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and current methods and techniques. The RN will collaborate with patients, their families, professional peers, and other healthcare team members to individualize care. Additionally, the RN will direct nursing support staff in the provision of care while adhering to nursing standards and administrative policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1 year of experience in the area of clinical specialty preferred
  • PA or MSL Compact Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • Basic Life Support Certification (Required)
