Schedule

This position requires working 12-hour night shifts. Weekend and holiday requirements include working every other weekend and two out of three major holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry team. This role involves providing care to patients in a telemetry setting, including management of ED HOLD patients. Our unit specializes in Med/Surg Oncology, Ortho, and Urology for adult patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform IVs, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring.
• Coordinate with ancillary support staff and engage in interdisciplinary team activities.
• Provide patient and family education as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Current BLS certification is required; CMSRN certification is preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is required prior to starting.
• Active New York nursing license or proof of application with applied date.
