This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-Hour Night Shift, requiring every other weekend and two of the four major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with dementia patients and be comfortable floating to various units as needed. This role plays a critical part in providing high-quality care for patients in a rehabilitation and nursing setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support to residents in a long-term care environment.
  • Ensure patient comfort and monitor changes in their condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active nursing license with required documentation on file.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Experience in long-term care (LTC) and prior travel experience is mandatory.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Ability to float to other units as required.
  • Experience working with dementia patients is essential.
