Schedule Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
Job Description The Emergency Department Nurse performs patient assessments, determines the priority of care, and provides immediate interventions. They analyze assessment data, formulate and implement a plan of care, and evaluate effectiveness in collaboration with medical staff, following the policies and procedures of the organization.
Responsibilities
Conducting thorough patient assessments in the Emergency Department.
Determining priority of care based on assessment data.
Providing immediate interventions as needed.
Collaborating with medical staff to implement and evaluate care plans.
Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Three (3) years of recent Emergency Department experience required.
BSN required.
Current licensure with the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association BLS required.
American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
American Heart Association PALS required within 6 months of hire.
NIHSS Critical Care Course required within 1 year.
Completion of the Trauma Nurse Core Course required within 12 months of assignment.
National Certification in specialty area preferred.
