7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday (plus off-shift, weekend, and overtime as needed for 24/7 test operations)
Overview
The Quality Engineer will support
Engineering Validation Testing (EVT)
for spacecraft, including Thermal Vacuum, Dynamic, Propulsion, and EMI testing. This role ensures compliance with procedures, standards, and customer requirements while supporting smooth test execution and resolution of quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with procedures, industry standards, and customer contracts during EVT.
Verify test setups, equipment calibration, and software versions before testing.
Confirm signoffs, requirement completion, and nonconformance resolution after testing.
Document and manage nonconformances (NCs) and test flags via TIPQA/JIRA.
Support operational tasks (e.g., solar array integration, installations, bus movements).
Coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly.
Lead and facilitate Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering + 3 years of Quality Engineering experience (Aerospace preferred).
Knowledge of
AS9100/ISO9001
, QMS procedures, and contract compliance.
Strong RCCA, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
EVT experience strongly preferred.
