Staffmark is seeking a reliable and experienced Assembly & Blasting Technician to join a leading manufacturing team in Springville, AL. If you have mechanical assembly and surface preparation experience and enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.
Pay: $20.78/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions
Assemble products or components using hand/power tools and machinery
Inspect parts for quality and accuracy
Maintain clear and accurate production documentation
Report defects, material shortages, or equipment issues to your supervisor
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Set up and operate abrasive blasting equipment
Remove rust, paint, and debris using appropriate media (e.g., sand, grit)
Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure readiness for painting or coating
Perform basic equipment maintenance and report any issues
Follow all safety procedures and environmental guidelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or industrial blasting required
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods
Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
