Security Professional Access Control Logistics

Commerce City, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more . As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within a bustling logistics and distribution location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible throughout your shift, offering a reassuring presence and delivering exceptional customer service to everyone on site. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Perform access control duties by monitoring and verifying the credentials of individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location. Assist with controlling the flow of vehicles and/or pedestrian traffic at entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access. Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters. Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing questions and assisting with site entry protocols. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any security-related concerns. Document and report any irregularities, security-related breaches, or unusual activity as observed during shifts. Support emergency response activities and coordinate with site management and/or law enforcement as needed. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
