This Clinical Research Supervisor is responsible for overseeing set up and management of Schedule I Phase 2 investigator-initiated behavioral pharmacology studies and sites as well as large multi-site, Phase 2 and 3
sponsor-driven pharmacology projects under several PIs within the Neuroscape Psychedelic Division, Psychiatry Department and at the SFVA. Involves the development of and ensures compliance with clinical study protocols that involve human subjects in complex clinical research studies with Schedule 1 compounds. Oversees and resolves operational aspects of clinical studies or trials in conjunction with project teams and in accordance with standard operating procedures and good clinical practice and regulations. May be responsible for finances, clinical operations,resource management and site and vendor selection. responsible for supervising, training, onboarding, coordinating, monitoring, managing, and overseeing the activities and schedules of a growing number of psychedelic facilitators and physicians, CRCs, Assistant CRCs, research assistants and volunteers. Serves as a hiring manager, responsible for determining staffing needs across these projects, interviewing candidates and responsible for managing resource distribution and personnel efforts across studies and across departments. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. Department Description
Neuroscape is a translational neuroscience center within the Department of Neurology at UCSF We engage in technology creation and scientific research to better assess and optimize brain function of both healthy and impaired individuals. Neuroscape researchers engage in multiple areas of neuroscience research, including studies of attention, memory, perception, neuroplasticity, cognitive development, brain aging, non-invasive brain stimulation, neurofeedback, and psychedelics. Our research studies are supported by Neuroscape's technological innovations in interactive media & video games, virtual reality & multisensory integration, mobile technology & remote trial platforms, multimodal biosensing & advanced neuroimaging, and machine learning & signal processing. Results from our studies are applied to advance novel approaches that better assess and improve cognition in healthy populations - children to seniors - as well as individuals with a broad range of medical conditions, such as ADHD, Depression, Multiple Sclerosis, and Alzheimer's Disease. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and minimum three years of experience including one in a supervisory/lead role Clinical Trial Professional certification from a professional society within one year in position Working knowledge of clinical or laboratory research, clinical trial recruitment, eligibility, protocol adherence, quality data submission and adverse event reporting. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, prioritize projects and meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Adaptable to quickly changing priorities. Demonstrated skills in employee supervision and HR administration. Demonstrated experience in training others, particularly in the field of research. Critical thinking skills to evaluate issues and identify a potential solution. Clear and concise communicator; good verbal and written communication skills; both. Good interpersonal skills, including but not limited to: problem-solving, teamwork development, leadership, mentorship. Interpersonal skills to effectively motivate others. Works well with others to achieve common goals. Ability to cultivate relationships with multiple stakeholders at various levels of administration. Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. Effectively uses campus' clinical information and documentation application programs. Proven ability utilizing clinical trial management systems.

Advanced degree preferred.
License/Certification
