Form Factory 1, LLC: Design, validate, and deploy tooling to support electrode manufacturing and cell/battery unit assembly. Ensure the efficiency, reliability, and quality of our manufacturing processes. Duties include: Design and develop precision tooling and tooling systems for both automated and manual manufacturing lines, incorporating Poka-yoke methodologies for enhanced reliability;

Utilize CAD software for tooling design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques;

Troubleshoot tooling-related issues promptly, and implement modifications and fixes;

Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing assembly lines, ensuring the precise application of adapted tooling;

Develop and implement dimensional inspection protocols to ensure product quality, adapting methodologies to unique manufacturing requirements;

Utilize metrology data and tolerance stack-up understanding to maintain tight tolerances in manufacturing processes;

Incorporate iterative design feedback loops based on operator feedback, as part of the tooling design and deployment process of manufacturing lines.

Position Requirements: A Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field followed by 4 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a mechanical engineering-related occupation. Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently: 1) 4 years of experience in assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing environments; 2) 4 years of experience with CAD software for 3D modeling and tooling design, including additive manufacturing techniques; 3) 4 years of experience in tooling design, component manufacturing, dimensional inspection, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and Poka-yoke methodologies; 4) 4 years of experience implementing DFMA methodologies in product design; 5) 4 years of experience providing design support for product assembly lines; 6) 4 years of experience designing robotic work cells, integrating 6-Axis industrial robot arms along with pneumatic systems, vision systems, and specialized fixturing for precision applications.
