Job Description Summary
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing and improving cloud-based systems and solutions. This role involves optimizing cloud resources, ensuring data security, and supporting applications that utilize cloud infrastructure. Implement next generation cloud platform with cluster managers (Kubernetes) and containers (containerd) in Multi-Cloud to support PayPal business teams to scale their applications that serve millions of customers worldwide and process billions of dollars in payments. The engineer will drive solutions and implementation leveraging different open source distributed systems, drive adoption, and deliver a complete product. This role participates in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), follows internal conventions and procedures, makes technical decisions, collaborates with peers and project leads, and contributes to code and design reviews.
Essential Responsibilities
- Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff
- Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures
- Understands internal standards and processes and applies them to make technical decisions
- Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions
- Contributes to code and design reviews
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a BachelorC34s degree or equivalent experience.
Location and Compensation
Phoenix, AZ —. Salary range: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year. Posted within the last 2 days.
