Software Engineer – Healthcare Claims & Eligibility

Location: Arizona or Minneapolis Preferred or Remote

Overview

We’re seeking a versatile Software Engineer to join a fast-paced healthcare technology team focused on claims processing, member fulfillment, and eligibility systems. With a robust backlog of work, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a highly regulated domain. Ideal candidates will bring strong Java and Oracle expertise, a solid understanding of relational databases, and exposure to data engineering and AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data workflows supporting claims and eligibility systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions using Java, Oracle, and ETL tools.
• Contribute to Big Data initiatives and support data-driven decision-making.
• Work on Facets-related enhancements and integrations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies as needed to support evolving business needs.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• Strong proficiency in Java, Oracle, and relational databases.
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Exposure to Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI concepts or tools in a development context.
• Experience with Facets or healthcare claims systems is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in the healthcare domain is a strong advantage.
