Job Summary

Cherry Street Energy, an innovative leader in solar power systems, is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a Solutions Engineer, you will contribute to our mission of integrating renewable energy into diverse operations. Join us in our quest for a greener tomorrow!

This role focuses on increasing efficiency through automation and system integration within our organization. You will work closely with the Director of Data Analytics to simplify communication between systems and facilitate access to information across all levels, from the C-suite to site superintendents managing construction for Cherry Street.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the project life cycle, including identifying business needs, defining requirements, solution design, software development, and project delivery.
• Maintain and innovate within an IT environment comprising Python, Django, and AWS.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain features for our cloud-based backend services, and contribute to continuous improvement of documentation, architecture, and scalability.
• Collect, manage, and translate data into usable information for other departments.
• Maintain and enhance the CSE Data Lake.
• Improve data integrations between internal systems like Hubspot, Procore, Smartsheet, Wattch, Drone Deploy, etc., including creating custom integrations via APIs.

Job Requirements

Required skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with FastAPI, Flask, or other Python web frameworks.
• Experience with REST API design and implementation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance-optimized SQL in software development.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud services.
• Experience in containerized, CI/CD environments.
• Good understanding of software architecture, scalability, and programming best practices.
