Overview

Software Engineer project for a premier client in the Kennesaw, GA area. This onsite position requires a local candidate. The project is 3 months to 2 years in length, and may convert to a full-time position for the right candidate.

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Develop/Modify/enhance/test/support client software based on business requirements and technical specifications defined by the client project manager/technical lead.
• Lead design and implementation of UI and network electronic system components for marine products (e.g., Multi-Functional Displays and Ethernet), including new features and products through software and network architecture design with a focus on software configuration and hardware/software integration (HSI).
• Select and guide external resources, formulate and document software designs, and write documentation to communicate system architecture and requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5+ years in UI design and network engineering (CAN, Ethernet, NMEA 2000/OneNet, WiFi, Bluetooth), especially in embedded software.
• Skills: Strong in C/C++, HTML, network communication (CAN, RESTful API, WebSocket), UI design tools (e.g., Figma), and containerization (e.g., Docker). Knowledge of RTOS and OTA firmware updates is a plus.
• Proficiency in network protocols and communication standards (CAN, Ethernet, USB, TCP/IP, UART, I2C, GPIO, RESTful API).
