Software Engineer Job at GeoLogics Corporation in Sterling Heights

Overview

Seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to design to maintain laboratory integration and test environments encompassing electronic hardware components and software at vehicle component, sub-system, and platform levels. The ideal candidate will have strong mechatronic integration skills with experience maintaining hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems and emulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design to maintain laboratory integration and test environments for electronic hardware and software
• Work with vehicle components, sub-systems, and platform levels
• Maintain hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems and emulation tools

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required for this defense-related role
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 4 years of Embedded real-time software verification experience
• Ability to combine mechanical, electrical, computer, and control systems engineering to design, build, and maintain smart and automated products
• Experience with cable troubleshooting, building, and repair
• Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python / BASH / or NI Teststand)
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience in debugging complex electromechanical systems
• Familiarity with computer networking principles (VLANs / Switch configuration)
• Familiarity with multiple communication protocols
• Knowledge of running simulation models

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Serial Data Communication protocols and tools (CAN, MIL-STD-1553)
• Experience with Ethernet protocols and tools
• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with Wireshark
• Experience with system-level use case tests
• Knowledge of Windows event log
• Familiarity with NI TestStand
• Knowledge of how models and hardware work together

Employment details

• Onsite Location: Sterling Heights, MI (No Relocation Assistance)
• No 1099, No third parties, no C2C. No exceptions
• W2 Hourly Contract with limited benefits
• $50.00 - $61.50 per hour DOE based on location
• US Citizenship is required
