The role involves working on low-latency, high-throughput APIs, ETL data pipelines, and managing big data applications with attention to detail. This role is part of our Data Architecture Team, and you will collaborate in the SDLC process by creating technical designs and providing input and feedback for high level designs. In this role you will work with your team leader, fellow team members, as well as product and data science stakeholders to collaborate on projects that safeguard hundreds of millions of consumers and enterprise businesses from telecommunications fraud.We are looking for a team player who is positive, self-motivated, energetic and a quick learner with commitment to quality and dedication to long-term success. We provide a friendly work environment, access to cutting-edge technology and the ability to work on novel and highly challenging projects in the industry.**What you’ll be doing:*** Work across multiple code repositories, programming languages, and frameworks* Develop ETL jobs and analytics pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark* Develop low-latency, high-throughput REST APIs, such as our call protection products* Develop expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Databricks, and other relevant technologies to drive our technology roadmap forward.* Author and contribute to Technical Designs (TDs) for new prioritized projects* Create and maintain unit and integration tests for data-driven applications* Reduce technical debt and make ETL jobs operationally supportable by leveraging tools within Databricks and AWS.* Work with data scientists to integrate new models into products, optimize code, and take models from prototype to production.**What you’ll need:*** Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science (or related degree)* 3+ years of experience in a data or software engineering position using relevant tools* 2+ years of experience using Apache Spark with Scala or Python (pyspark).* 2+ years of experience with a cloud computing service (AWS preferred)* Strong understanding of streaming tools such as Kinesis, Kafka, or 0MQ* Minimum 1 year of SQL experience and familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases* Self-starter personality, passionate about designing, diagramming, and prototyping solutions.* Ability and mindset to dive into unfamiliar problems and come up with unique solutions**Bonus Points:*** Specialized experience in Databricks with Unity Catalog and Workflows. Certification nice to have* Experience using Delta Lake tables and Parquet data format* Previous experience in the Telecom industry* Specialized AWS experience: S3, IAM, EKS, RDS, Kinesis, DynamoDB.
