Overview
This position will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the College’s Human Resource Department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the department.
- Acts as a liaison between the department and payroll, ensuring that all records (new hire paperwork, status changes, pay memos, etc.) are conferred in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Rectify team member timesheet issues.
- Process inquiries from external sources, i.e., public service loan forgiveness, employment verifications, and wage garnishments requests.
- Administer the department supply order, requisitions, and purchase orders.
- Maintain College organization chart.
- Manage the communication and tracking of team member-related items, including but not limited to performance evaluations, tuition requests, Remote Work requests, and Sick Leave Assistance Bank program enrollments.
- Respond to frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR team member.
- Maintain and routinely update communication and materials in the internal HR portal system and the Board Docs website.
- Conduct reference checks on qualified selected applicants prior to hire.
- Schedule on campus and remote interviews.
- Assist the Human Resources Onboarding Specialist with new hire orientation.
- Coordinate messaging and scheduling for philanthropic events organized within HR.
- Receive and process transcripts from faculty and staff, working with appropriate team members to ensure proper filing and recording.
- Perform reviews and periodic audits of HR files and personnel records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provide clerical support to the HR department.
Minimum Training and Experience
- Associates degree and/or equivalent office experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
Team Members can expect to be paid a salary between $36,647 to $47,641, which includes an excellent benefits package. The salary will be based on a combination of relevant education, training, work experience, and skill competencies.
