Damar is looking for a passionate Human Resources Coordinator to foster positive, supportive relationships with all employees, answer their questions, and provide support when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $40,000-$45,000

What You Will Be Doing — Responsibilities

  • Assist in internal and external HR audits, including annual and relicensure audits from the Department of Child Services, Board of Health, Family Social Services Association, etc.
  • Assist with annual background checks for all employees (local law enforcement, national sex offender, driving record).
  • Conduct monthly background checks for applicable employees (e.g., Medicaid Fraud Check OIG/DHHS).
  • Maintain accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System, move candidates through recruitment workflow, respond to inquiries, and complete required requisition fields for reporting.
  • Deliver timely communication and feedback to candidates, hiring managers, Ambassadors, and the Talent Acquisition / HR team.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Facilitate tuberculosis testing for new employees (TB skin tests, chest x-rays, TB assessments, TB blood tests).
  • Assist in collection and documentation of annual forms (attestation, conflict of interest forms).

What You Need To Be Considered

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 year of customer service or office experience preferred
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum age 21 depending on program/department requirements
  • Meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and acceptable driving record for positions requiring driving
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical

Essential Job Functions

Physical: Primary functions require the physical ability to work in an office setting, stand or sit for prolonged periods, occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist; lift/carry/push/pull up to 35 lbs; operate office equipment; travel to locations; and verbally communicate information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal auditory range with or without correction.
