The opportunity
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Coffee Shop Barista to join our team at Yavapai Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona. As a Coffee Shop Barista, you will deliver excellent guest service through mastery of coffee knowledge and recipes, educating team members and customers, and making beverages to brand specifications. What will you do?
- Greet and provide menu information to guests while using suggestive selling techniques.
- Serve food and beverages in correct proportions, and follow proper sanitation guidelines.
- Participate in all inventory, opening, clean up and closing procedures.
- Process POS cash and credit sales and accurately count change.
- Account for all transactions; maintain accurate cash count and balance bank at end of shift.
More about you
- Must be comfortable in working with food, cash handling and inventory; recent experience as a barista in a fast paced environment preferred.
- Ability to communicate with guests and provide friendly customer service effectively while alone and with team.
- Requires basic math skills to prepare recipes, process transactions and maintain bank.
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand the entire length of shift with frequent bending, stooping, carrying, walking, and reaching.
- Requires manualdexterity to repeatedly grasp and move items.
- Exposure to and use of chemicals required to clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, and areas.
