Position Summary

RRD has an immediate opening for an IT Support Engineer to work in our Logan, UT facility!

Responsibilities

  • Provides support and works across a broad range of technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests related to our endpoint fleet of equipment.
  • Delivers first-class customer service, ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
  • Supports incidents across multiple facilities; travel may be required.
  • Builds, installs, and maintains endpoints (PCs & MAC) in accordance with IT standards.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots issues related to installed endpoints (Windows & MAC) with routine maintenance as assigned.
  • Prioritizes problems based on severity, urgency, and impact to the business; tracks all outstanding incidents until resolution. Complex issues may be handed off to higher-level support or other enterprise teams when needed.
  • Collaborates with enterprise support teams and outside vendors to resolve problems or issues.
  • Works with Microsoft Active Directory; SCCM is a plus.
  • Manages local LAN architecture and components in compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Coordinates through change management processes to move, install, upgrade, remove, and configure site IT assets and supporting infrastructure.
  • Supports wireless networks, servers, network, and peripheral devices related to desktop infrastructure in accordance with department standards.
  • Takes ownership of issues by performing problem analysis to implement appropriate solutions and restore service quickly; escalates incidents as necessary.
  • Identifies potential changes and system improvements to present to management for consideration and implementation.
  • Ensures work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with department guidelines and corporate policies.
  • Logs and maintains all interactions (incidents, change tickets, etc.) within RRD ITSM toolset.
  • Maintains asset records throughout the lifecycle of endpoints and conducts routine audits of site IT assets and processes to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the role or 3–5 years of relevant work experience, or demonstrated ability to meet requirements through equivalent experience.
  • Ability to solve moderately complex problems by analyzing variables and applying solutions learned through experience.
  • Following facilities EHS procedures; PPE use required.
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally to move objects.
  • Knowledge of endpoint software and OS such as current and recent MS Windows versions, macOS, Microsoft Office, Google Suite & Google Drive is a plus.
  • Ability to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to learn specialized software quickly and demonstrate continued expertise in primary tools.
  • Maintains a first-class level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Ability to write clearly and precisely for the work being performed.

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $52,900 to $79,400 per year. The range may be adjusted based on geographic location and may change in the future. Total compensation may include bonus, commission, or incentive programs where applicable.
