Miller Children s and Women s Hospital in sunny Long Beach, California, invites you to become a part of our dedicated Regional Level IV NICU team. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled full-time BC/BE Neonatologist committed to providing advanced neonatal care in a collaborative environment. Our facility is affiliated with the esteemed University of California Irvine and Children s Hospital of Orange County, ensuring a supportive and innovative atmosphere for both patients and staff.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide expert care to critically ill neonates in a Regional Level IV NICU with an average daily census of 55 patients and 1,400 admissions annually.
- Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, Obstetric Hospitalists, and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists.
- Participate in advanced neonatal services including maternal and neonatal transport, whole-body cooling, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy, and palliative care.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Contribute to an academic setting with residency and fellowship programs linked to prestigious institutions.

- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area; relocation may be necessary.

- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- California Medical License or ability to obtain.
- Experience as a Neonatologist (specific years of experience should be noted).
- Clean malpractice and medical license history is highly preferred.
- Willingness to relocate or already reside in the local area.
- Completion of DEA requirements before start date is mandatory.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Valid California Medical License or the ability to acquire one.
- DEA registration (must be completed prior to employment).
