Pulmonary & Critical Care opening in OregonCorvallis, ORFull timeWe are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to join our team. This position offers a dynamic mix of inpatient critical care and outpatient pulmonary medicine in a collaborative, higher-acuity community setting. Work Schedule Balanced mix of outpatient pulmonary clinic and inpatient critical care services ICU coverage: 7-day stretches per month Night shifts: 5â€"6 per month Outpatient clinic time rounds out the remainder of the schedule Types of PatientsPulmonary: Lung nodules and masses Obstructive lung disease (COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis) Interstitial lung disease Pleural effusions Complex respiratory failure Pre-operative evaluations for thoracic surgery Pulmonary hypertensionCritical Care: Medical and surgical ICU patients ARDS/mechanical ventilation Shock states Multi-organ failure End-of-life care coordinationProcedures Flexible bronchoscopy with BAL and transbronchial biopsy EBUS-TBNA for mediastinal staging Thoracentesis; temporary and indwelling pleural catheter insertion Advanced/interventional bronchoscopy procedures Central line and arterial line placement Advanced airway managementClinical Expectations Evidence-based ventilator management (lung-protective ventilation, PEEP optimization) Hemodynamic assessment and vasoactive medication management Sedation and analgesia protocols with focus on early mobilization Sepsis, ARDS, and multi-organ dysfunction recognition and management Quality improvement and protocol development participation Judicious resource utilization and level-of-care decision making Comprehensive outpatient management of COPD, asthma, ILD, and complex pleural disease Expert interpretation of pulmonary function tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies Evidence-based lung cancer screening, evaluation, and staging Mentorship of Internal Medicine residentsRequirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Excellent clinical and communication skills Team-oriented approach and commitment to high-quality patient care Eligibility to work in the United States
