Job Description The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable. Customers served include employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.
Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
Comply with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
Perform other related duties as required.
Demonstrate the ability to perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
Demonstrate adequate radiation safety practices as it relates to both patients and co-workers.
Participate in all Radiology Management System functions pertaining to patient procedures.
Provide patient education as required.
Maintain effective communications with referring physician and radiologist staff to provide for the efficient delivery of CT procedures.
Abide by the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, employees, or other customers.
Adhere to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Associate's degree in radiologic technology.
NYS Radiology Technologist license (NYS Department of Health).
ARRT(R) certification.
BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
Schedule This position requires a night rotational schedule of 36 hours per week, consisting of three 12-hour shifts.
