About the Role As a Lead Product Designer, you will collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to innovate features and refine workflows, enhancing the digital experience. You will present and advocate for your design vision and strategy through sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mock-ups, and prototypes. Your ability to communicate design rationale, logic, and research will support informed decisions across the company, including with executives. You will also be a culture champion, guiding and mentoring fellow designers to bring this vision to fruition. Your attention to detail and commitment to craft excellence will elevate the team's output through constructive feedback during peer design critiques. Hands-on experience with Design Sprints and Customer Journey Mapping.

A holistic problem-solving approach, considering various perspectives to develop comprehensive solutions.

A history of mentoring and guiding designers.

A self-motivated and organized individual who proactively identifies priorities and seeks continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented, possessing a strong drive to work efficiently within a high-performing, cross-functional product team. We are devoted to the iterative process of crafting and delivering exceptional customer experiences. We are looking for candidates who have: 5+ years of experience in Product Design or related fields.

5+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams.

Demonstrated experience launching products across platforms and geographies, while mentoring others through the process.

A bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

An appreciation for all forms of design and their interplay - interaction, visual, content, motion, and research.

Expert proficiency with Figma, Miro, usertesting.com, Dovetail, and other relevant software consistent with industry standards.

A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects that reflect your design process, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

A solid understanding of software development and effective collaboration with developers.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in Service Design and Service Mapping.

Experience in defining platform strategies, envisioning complex user interactions, and inspiring teams to push the envelope.

Strong ability to convey complex concepts clearly and convincingly to diverse audiences.

Preferred experience in the financial services industry, especially consumer lending.

Location: This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distance to one of our offices located in New York City, NY, Wilmington, DE, Baltimore, MD, Charlotte, NC, Fort Worth, TX, or Irving, TX, with expectations to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Salary: The target base salary range for Baltimore, MD, and New York, NY is $115k-$145k, based on various factors, including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program based on individual and company performance.
