Ridgeland, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting with access control. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication while monitoring for any irregularities. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or access. Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities encountered during patrols. Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues. Document and communicate any incidents or maintenance needs to the appropriate parties. Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and directions as needed while on patrol. Adhere to all company and client protocols while performing assigned duties. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
