Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 Annual Salary

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide strategic support to management. As a key contributor, the Senior Accountant will not only maintain accurate financial records but also drive process improvements, mentor junior staff, and support decision-making to strengthen the organisation’s overall financial health

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification is required
• Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
• Experience in private equity accounting is a plus
• Proficiency in tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have Healthcare experience, preferably with nursing homes

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•  Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments
• Provide support for tax compliance and assist with tax filings
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
