Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient scheduling efficiently, coordinating appointments and resolving conflicts as needed.
  • Verify medical insurance information and handle prior authorizations accurately and promptly.
  • Perform receptionist duties such as answering calls, directing inquiries, and maintaining organized records.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to support the clinic's day-to-day operations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients about appointment details, insurance coverage, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless workflow and quality patient care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
  • Provide support in resolving patient concerns and inquiries professionally.
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist or similar administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of medical insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
  • Proficiency in patient scheduling systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Competence in using office software and equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical administration are a plus.
