Responsibilities:

- Manage patient scheduling efficiently, coordinating appointments and resolving conflicts as needed.
- Verify medical insurance information and handle prior authorizations accurately and promptly.
- Perform receptionist duties such as answering calls, directing inquiries, and maintaining organized records.
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the clinic's day-to-day operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients about appointment details, insurance coverage, and other relevant information.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless workflow and quality patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
- Provide support in resolving patient concerns and inquiries professionally.
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or similar administrative role.
- Strong knowledge of medical insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
- Proficiency in patient scheduling systems and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Competence in using office software and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical administration are a plus.
