Description: HTI is searching for a
Structural Designer
for a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in industrial projects, providing detailed design and construction documentation for both new facilities and retrofits. The multidisciplinary team, consisting of mechanical, civil, structural, instrumentation, and electrical engineers, works closely with clients, vendors, and contractors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that drive industrial growth and innovation. of experience as a structural designer/drafter in industrial or commercial projects Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures
3D modeling, steel detailing, general arrangement drawings Solid understanding of
steel framing systems ,
fabrication practices , and construction standards Ability to
interpret structural drawings
and develop accurate 3D models and drawings Familiarity with
AISC and OSHA
standards and practices Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational habits Ability to
collaborate with engineers , project managers, and other designers Associates degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent technical certification (preferred) What Your Role Will Look Like
Create and manage 3D Tekla models for structural steel components and assemblies Produce accurate
shop drawings ,
connection details , and
general arrangement plans Work closely with structural engineers to translate design intent into fabrication-ready models Review and incorporate engineering redlines and client feedback Conduct model checks for accuracy, conflicts, and constructability Assist in material take-offs, quantity estimates, and construction planning support Participate in internal coordination with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.)
