School Social Worker Location: Lockport, IL, 60441 Grade Level: 2nd–3rd grade Start Date / End Date: November 20th – March 6th (with possibility of starting earlier in October for cross-training) Schedule: 8:30am – 3:30pm (includes lunch) Hours per Week: 35 hours/week (7 hours/day) Salary Range: $47.07 – $56.82/hour
About the Opportunity:
AnthroMed Education is excited to partner with a supportive elementary school in Lockport, IL to welcome a School Social Worker to their team. This assignment is to provide coverage for an FMLA leave, with an estimated duration from November 20th through March 6th. The district is highly supportive, and strong student attendance within the building makes this a meaningful opportunity to engage and impact students consistently. You’ll be joining a collaborative team that values your expertise and ensures you have the resources you need to succeed. If you’re passionate about helping students build social-emotional skills while working in an environment that supports your growth, this is a fantastic short-term opportunity. What You’ll Do
- Provide direct and small group social work services for 2nd and 3rd grade students (with one 4th grade student)
- Support students with MTSS and social-emotional learning tasks
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and administration to support student well-being
- Maintain documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
Caseload Details
- Building enrollment: ~305 students
- Primary focus: 2nd–3rd grade, with one 4th grade studen
- Caseload: 25 students, including 4 with 504 plans (lower service needs)
- Dedicated office space provided
Qualifications
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
- Experience in elementary settings strongly preferred
